IMPORTANT - MTU Library Catalogue unavailable from 24th June until 8th July.

Dear Staff & Students,

We hope that you are keeping well and enjoying your summer break.

On 24th June MTU Library will begin the final stage of a multi-year project to merge the Library Management System (LMS) used at our Cork and Kerry campuses. On that date it will be necessary for our current LMS to go temporarily offline. The new merged MTU LMS will come on stream on 8th July.

What does this mean for me?

It is important to note that this downtime will have no impact whatsoever on your access to our electronic resources i.e. E-books, E-databases, E-journals etc. These resources will be unaffected, and you will be able to browse, search, download articles etc as you normally do from our library website.

The downtime will also have no impact on any of the services we offer when patrons visit any of our library branches.

The downtime will only impact those patrons who use the online access to the library catalogue to search for, or to place holds on physical or print items such as books, reference material, music scores etc. This service will not be available during the downtime period of 24th June – 8th July. Patrons who need to search our physical catalogue during the downtime are advised to contact the library for assistance. Associated services such as borrowing and returning of physical items will continue as normal.

If you have any questions about this, please contact the Library at Cork Library Information:

Kind regards
