MTU Library are delighted to share with you a new resource aimed at supporting Wellbeing.
To celebrate the launch of our new Wellbeing Wall in MTU Library Bishopstown, we are running a competition and you could be in with a chance to win a Sound Wellness Treatment.
Win A Personal Sound Wellness Treatment.
Your chance to relax and recharge!Sound healing is a therapeutic practice that harnesses the power of sound to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. This involves the use of instruments such as singing bowls, tuning forks, gongs, etc. allowing space for individuals to connect with themselves, moving towards restoration of harmony, balance and flow In this one-to-one session, the specific sound frequencies will be tailored to you and your specific alignment - a deeply personalised experience. The sounds produced during the session can evoke deep relaxation, stimulate the body’s natural healing processes, and encourage self-awareness. To be in with a chance to win this prize, simply click here and complete the form, sharing your favourite Wellbeing tip. Or if you prefer, pick out a book you enjoy from the Wellbeing Wall and briefly describe a positive tip that you would like to share from the book. The winner will be emailed after Friday 16th May.
(Please note: As sound healing is not suitable for everyone, should this be the case a kundalini reiki or Integrative Energetic Therapy (I.E.T.) session will be offered instead) |
Building on our digital Self-Care collection, the Wellbeing Wall is a new library initiative aimed at creating an inspiring and encouraging physical space dedicated to promoting wellbeing. An area on the first floor of the main Cork campus library has been transformed into a bright, positive holistic learning space.
Primarily, it consists of a growing print book-collection focusing on wellbeing, healthy lifestyle, physical activity, nutrition, self-development, mindfulness, pastimes and more. The books are colourfully displayed, intertwined among green leafy plants and positive messaging . It’s a refreshing, relaxing new space so please come to visit and browse/borrow from our growing collection!

It emphasises the importance of connecting with others, keeping active, being mindful, continuous learning and the importance of giving.
