This MTU Digital Media Course provides essential skills for students navigating today’s digital information landscape.

Every day, we’re surrounded by more information than ever before. News, social media, search results, influencers and now AI can provide information in seconds. But how do we know what’s accurate, what’s biased, and what’s simply wrong?

This MTU Digital Media Course is a set of 8 units designed to help you navigate the online world. Some of the topics covered include:

- Why social media apps keep us scrolling.
- How media ownership and funding influence online content and shape public opinion.
- The real-world consequences of misinformation and disinformation.
- How to know if something you see online is true or fake.
- Why you may feel anxious or unhappy after scrolling and how to look after your digital wellbeing.”
