Foundations of Open Science introduces students to the basic concepts of Open Science and provides a first step towards incorporating Open principles into their research practices.
Each module begins by introducing traditional research concepts and then builds on them by illustrating how Open principles have been applied to these research practices.
There are four modules in all: Open Science, Open Licensing, Open Research Data, Open Access
Each module in the course should take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete.
To fully complete this course you must complete each of the 4 units and a final quiz in which you have to score at least 80% to pass.
For MTU staff and students, once complete, you will earn the Foundations of Open Science Badge.
*Please note that digital badges are not awarded when completing the Public Access version of the Foundations of Open Science.
