Well done to Dr Seán Lacey, MTU’s Research Integrity & Compliance Officer for recently highlighting inequitable publishing models in an academic paper published in the European Science Editing journal.

APCs (Article Processing Charges) don’t just create unsustainable budget strain and unpredictability, they force libraries into uncomfortable ethical trade-offs about fairness, access to knowledge, and our core inclusive mission.
